It's All About Design

The debut collection for t.h.i.r.t.y.s.e.v.e.n. brings about the merge of fashion and
environmental consciousness in a skate, snow, and surf lifestyle brand. The use of reworked fabrics imbues t.h.i.r.t.y.s.e.v.e.n. with a flair of customization, eliminating the feel of mass consumerism. This collection is targeted towards women aged 25–30 who realize the importance of sustainability, but still identify with the edge of a skate lifestyle. These women want their clothing to reflect their progressive ideals without abandoning their roots.

The theme for Fall/Winter 07/08, entitled Rural Grunge Farmer, brings about the feel of comfort, nostalgia, outdoor coziness, and a connection to the music fan within us all. This chic meets grunge collection focuses on rich colours, soft eco-friendly fabrics, intricate details, and re-worked sweater knits. The collection also has a component of male influence which is evident in the colours, fabrics, and styling. It’s almost as if you took your dad’s old work shirts, cut them up, mixed them together, and made them rock. Moving away from the over produced graphic t-shirts of the skate, snow, and surf lifestyle, t.h.i.r.t.y.s.e.v.e.n. offers designs with surface detail made from reused fabrics, thereby adding another layer of sustainability to the mix.
