Welcome to t.h.i.r.t.y.s.e.v.e.n.

Chicks and board sports is nothing new, but a chick in eco-friendly board sport apparel, now that’s unique!

Danielle Rossi is a fourth year student in the Bachelor of Fashion Design & Technology Program at Kwantlen University College. She has brought together fashion and environmental consciousness in a skate, snow, and surf lifestyle brand – entitled t.h.i.r.t.y.s.e.v.e.n.

The influences of this line are as broad and eclectic as the designer herself. This ‘chic meets grunge’ collection focuses on rich colours, soft eco-friendly fabrics, interesting details, and re-worked sweater knits. Moving away from the over produced graphic t-shirts of the skate, snow, and surf lifestyle, t.h.i.r.t.y.s.e.v.e.n. offers designs with surface detail made from reused fabrics adding yet another element of sustainability to the mix. The collection also has a component of male influence which is evident in the colours, fabrics, and styling. It’s almost as if you took your dads old work shirts, cut them up and made them into something spectacular.

On March 28, 2007, Rossi will present her line of male inspired eco-friendly board sport apparel in the Kwantlen College’s 25th Anniversary Grad Fashion Show at the River Rock Theater.
